What I've Learned This Week

It is another week of revealing what I've learned over the past week. My thoughts are all over the place from serious to silly, from confirmation to bewilderment.

Let's see...these are just a few of the things that I've learned this week...
  • No one is secure in this economy...everyone is a target

  • God is still on the throne and none of this catches Him by surprise (PTL!)

  • A close friend's 6 year old daughter, Emma, had to have an emergency appendectomy yesterday but is doing very well today

  • An old friend, former co-worker, Sharron, is in need of prayer...doctors are unsure of what happened when she collapsed at work with her hands starting to shrivel and her body went numb. All of her test came back negative and only assumption/conclusion, at this time, is a mini-stroke that left no damage in her early 50's.

  • Weather this winter season has been completely CRAZY! Spring temps one day and snowing 6 inches the next!

  • With weather like this...no wonder people can't get well

  • You really can break an addiction to soft drinks...I did. I have lived on Diet DP x 18 years with very little else to drink...never water! I have only had a total of about 2 1/2 cokes/diet DP over the past 30 days

  • You can really acquire a taste for water and actually thirst for it

  • Income taxes do not prepare themselves...no matter how hard you pray or wish :-(

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

  8. Yes, I agree...I used to drink diet coke all the time in high school, and all I drink now is water and 1 coffee a day. It can be done:)

  9. What strange weather you are having. Good for you for being off the pop. I need to cut down (I keep saying that).

I'm glad your friend Sharon is o.k. That must have been scary.

  12. The income tax thing is so true. I am blessed, I paid to have my taxes done until I met my husband...he looks forward to Jan. 30th and having all of the necessary documents to do our taxes. I do not understand.
