Arrested & Taken Into Custody

Roger was officially arrested and taken into custody on Friday, 2/19/10 at 12:00 PM at JTS, Inc.

I began planning a surprise weekend getaway for us about a month ago. I haven't ever done anything like this and make it a complete surprise before. But I pulled it off, but not without lots of help.

I enlisted Roger's bosses, Lance and Dena to help me. They marked their calendars to make sure that he was in town plus kept it a complete secret from him.

We told so many lies to pull this off but it looked like the night before that it was going to fall apart because he was going out of town (an hour away) all day. I started stressing, texted Dena and she called Lance (her brother). He said he would take care of it and he did.

On Friday, Lance called me to let me know that Roger went out of town but he called him and told him that he needed to meet with him face to face at noon in the office. Lance called me to let me know when Roger arrived and them it all came together.

I arrived at his job, Lance had me wait in his office and he eventually, led Roger up front. Roger was so shocked to see me sitting in Lance's office.

He said "Jenn Leigh, what are you doing here?"

I stood up and said "Mr. Woolbright, I am placing you under arrest for being a wonderful husband for 19 years to your wife and you are going to have to come with me!" I pulled his handcuffs out of my back pocket and handcuffed him.

He was in total shock and disbelief...it took a few minutes and Lance telling him..."I can't help you now, Roger...you're all her's so get outta here".

It was perfect!!!

~DBS Winter Formal '10~

Winter is usually a very blah time with very drab colors consisting of various shades of brown.

Well, there was nothing drab about winter on February 20th when Tyler went to the DBS Winter Formal with Morgan. He was her date for the evening.

Aren't they a gorgeous couple? I think so but I'm partial! lol

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, MY LOVE!

I woke up 19 years ago today, alone in my bed, in a small house in Earle, AR that I shared with my precious 4 year old son, Brandon.

Life was an adventure to say the least.

We made the best of what we had and didn't dwell on what we didn't have. The only time that my son got to go to McDonald's was when my mom and dad took us. But, we were content.

I said "we were content" if that is all God had planned for us but I didn't feel happy nor whole. Jesus promises to be a father to the fatherless in Psalm 68:5 A father of the fatherless and a judge and protector of the widows is God in His holy habitation.

I was missing a piece of my heart that longed to be whole again that would be filled with a husband to love me and a father who would love Brandon.

When I woke up on February 23rd, 1991...I was a giddy 28 year old, bride-to-be but I fell asleep that night in Harrison, AR, in a remote cabin...no longer alone in a bed, but in the arms of my knight in shining armor, my protector, my provider, my lover, my best friend but most of all...as Mrs. Roger W...wife, mother and step-mother.

Life is still an adventure but just at a much better level. God is good and so is my life.

I love you, Roger! Thank you for 19 wonderful years and for being the husband and father that God has called you to be.
P. S. When I have more time...I will share with my bloggy friends just what I did to my wonderful husband to be able to celebrate our anniversary alone this past weekend. Stay tuned...you don't want to miss this. lol

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Winter Wonderland 2010

On January 29th, we woke up to freezing rain and sleet aka Ice Storm 2010 and 9 days later, we woke up to Snow Storm 2010.

Today has been amazing....it was snowing huge flakes at 5:30 AM until 10 AM, turned to sleet that was falling like rain (straight down) and then it stopped everything, started raining and then...started the whole cycle all over again.

I have laughed all day and posted on my Facebook that God sure does have a great sense of humor. Al Gore and the "experts" keep trying to tell the world about Global Warming. Well, I guess, God is trying to show them who is really in control of the "global warming", the weather and that He and only Him will be the one to destroy the earth that He created.

I also said today that I knew for a fact that God was an awesome baseball players...He just threw the "experts" another curveball....a SNOWBALL! LOL

Here is a slide show of the pictures that I made today since 5:30 AM until 3 PM on 2/8/10. The first few are from the ice storm 9 days ago.

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Homemade ~ Made Simple

My friend, Angie at Good To Be A Queen, Welcome To My Palace, has gotten be motivated to make some of my own household products. I had a couple of recipes for laundry spot remover and a mold/mildew remover for the shower/tile that I've been using but I made my 1st batch of laundry soap today. My whole house smells wonderful. I am excited...so I wanted to share with you the 3 recipes that I shared with my Facebook friends today. One is Angie's laundry recipe and the other two are one that I found in my Homemade recipe book.

Mold and Mildew Remover - Safe For Clothes

1 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoon borax
4 cups hot water
1 clean 32 oz. spray bottle

Combine all the ingredients together and shake to mix well.

I used this on a shirt of Roger's that got left in the bottom of the laundry basket under some wet towels. It had those nasty pink mildew stains all over it. It was a khaki color shirt that couldn't be bleached. I searched my Homemade book for a soluation. I knew that I couldn't ruin it because it already was. I sprayed this all over the shirt...directly and washed it. It was all gone with the 1st treatment and washing.

Tile Mold and Mildew Remover

1/4 cup of chlorine bleach
1 tablespoon of borax
1 1/2 cups of water
1 clean 16 oz. spray bottle

Combine all ingredients together in the bottle and shake to mix. I use this in my shower now instead of store bought shower bleaches.

I got the picture idea from Angie...yeah, I copied! :)

Laundry Detergent:

6 cups of Borax Laundry Booster
6 cups of Arm and Hammer Washing Soda...Not Baking Soda!
4 Bars of Fel Naptha - only found at Kroger

1 1/2 cups of Oxy-Clean or Clorex Stain Fighter

Take bars of Fel Naptha, put in heavy ziplock bag, take hammer and crush it into small pieces. Put it in a blender to turn into powder. Mix Borax, Washing Soda, Oxy-Clean/Clorex Stain Fighter in with powdered Fel Naptha soap. Wha La!..You have laundry detergent and I think it smells good. I am washing a load of clothes now with it.

USE ONLY 1/8 CUP PER LOAD. Make just a bit over 4 quarts...that should last for awhile.

MY HOUSE SMELLS WONDERFUL...FRESH AND CLEAN...JUST FROM WASHING CLOTHES. MY WHITES ARE SO MUCH WHITER, BRIGHTS ARE DEFINITELY BRIGHTER AND EVERYTHING SMELLS FRESH AND CLEAN!!! I will never use store bought detergent again!!!

Have a wonderfully blessed day!
