I read this little devotion from a book that I really enjoy...Everyday Encouragement by Pamela McQuade for Spiritual Refreshment for Women.

God's Provision

God Meets Our Needs

"He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty." Luke 1:52-53

God provides for every one of His children, even the most humble. Wealth cannot gain His favor nor poverty destroy it. The Father does not look at the pocketbook, but at the heart. Those who love Him, though they may lack cash, see their needs fulfilled, but unbelievers who own overflowing storehouses harvest empty hearts. God never ignores His children's needs. What has He given you today?

WOW!!!! I love what she says here "God never ignores His children's needs!" This doesn't say our WANTS but it says...OUR NEEDS.

In a very shaky economy, I am so thankful that I can depend on my Heavenly Father to provide all my needs.

Philippians 4:19
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
