Welcome back to another Thankful Thursday...join Iris at Grace Alone. Today, our theme is love and what perfect timing to talk about love than the week of Valentine's Day.
(4) Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,
(8) Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
I am so thankful today for the love of my Lord and Savior, my husband, my parents, my children, my church family, my friends and my sweet baby girl (dog).
I am so far from the model "love" child but I am learning everyday and the Lord isn't finished with me yet. There are many times that I get angry, agitated, impatient and I have failed in the area of loving in the past. However...I serve a God of second chances...every moment, everyday is a fresh start. God is so loving and forgiving that all I have to do is come back to Him, confess my sins and He forgives me. He sets my feet back on the right path, brushes the dirt off of me and takes my hand again to continue on my journey of learning.
I am thankful for the devoted, patient and never lacking in his supply of love for me...my wonderful husband.
I am so thankful for a wonderful husband that is so easy to love...God has blessed me with the best.
I am so thankful for the love of my children...Brandon, Tyler, Sommer, Ryan and my grandson, Mason.
I am thankful for the God given love of a mother for her children whether they are my biological children or the precious bonus daughters that came with my wonderful husband.
I am so thankful for the love of wonderful parents who raised me in a loving, Christian home with morals, values and taught me about the love of my Lord from a very young age.
I am very thankful for the devoted, unconditional love of my precious little girl, Biscuit...my Maltese. She loves her momma and gets to excited when I come home from being gone. She lavished all kinds of kisses for her momma!
I am thankful for the love of my friends, church family and my bloggy friends.
Good friendships are like beautiful flowers...as they grow, they bring beauty and enjoyment into your life. I am thankful for the different varieties of fresh flowers in my daily bouquet. Each one is different and yet when they are all put together in my life...they make a complete arrangement of absolute beauty and joy. I love each and everyone of you.
I wrote a post on December 9th...To All My Friends Far and Near...this is for each of my new bloggy friends that I have made since then too.
Love is in the air...Happy Valentine's Day...We have so much to be thankful for in the big things but even, in the small things.
