I want to let you know that I am back and will be back to posting on a "more" regular basis. I can't promise that it will be on a daily basis but it will be much better than I have over the past several months.
I hate that I have lost a vast majority of my readers due to several issues. Based on the number of comments that have been left and the number of visits per Sitemeter...I have lost you guys, hopefully, it was only temporary.
I feel those issues are the lack of posts that I have written on a regular basis, the re-running of my life story that lead me to begin blogging and the lack of following and commenting on your blogs. I have tried to do what I could with the amount of time that I have had available to do so but...it hasn't been good enough.
I am truly sorry that I have let down my readers over the past few months and I hope that you can forgive me.
I don't want to lose anyone of you because you are not just readers/followers to me but you are my friends.
I wrote this post to you all back in December '08 and it is as true today as it was then.
So, my dear friends...both far and near, in everyday life and in the bloggy life...here's to each of you whether I have visited your blog once or dozens and whether you have been to mine today for the first time or the fiftieth...this is for you today, my friend.
Good friendships are like beautiful flowers...as they grow, they bring beauty and enjoyment into your life. I am thankful for the different varieties of fresh flowers in my daily bouquet. Each one is different and yet when they are all put together in my life...they make a complete arrangement of absolute beauty and joy. I love each and everyone of you.
Psalm 17:17 Friends love through all kinds of weather, and families stick together in all kinds of trouble. (Message)
Have a wonderfully blessed day!
Life happens and we post as we can....
ReplyDeleteJenn,
ReplyDeleteYou will never lose me as a friend ... we have a very tight bond through Christ, first and then through the trials we face through our prodigals.
I, myself, have not been able to respond to many of my bloggy friends but have tried to post. I know they know my heart and my limitations right now. Remember, sweet sis...it is the Lord who giveth and taketh away. You will never lose a true friend.
I love you and can't wait to see you soon! Blessings and big hugs!
I have loved reading your blog and because of your story with your son B, I have been encouraged!!! And my story with my son Dan has been drastically changed!!! Because of reading your story on your blog, utilizing the book Everyday I Pray For My Teenager and leaning even more into Christ, my son and I have been reconciled, his life is being transformed!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your life!!!
ReplyDeleteI am a faithful reader :D Love, Rhonda :)
Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteI suppose I am blessed b/c I began reading while you have been reposting your life. I feel as though I know you deeper and we have so very much in common. I am here with you on this journey called life. I am blessed to have come this way.
Blessings and prayers,
Andrea

It may be possible that people are reading you on their google reader. That's what I've been doing.
ReplyDeleteLately I have been very busy and I have read some blogs on my google reader and not commenting (as it takes longer). But it's better than not reading them at all, I suppose.
By the time I visit and comment on the ones that have commented on my blog I have run out of time lately. So hence, no commenting on other blogs.
That's the hard part, isn't it. You want to visit all your readers, and all the blogs that you read, but you can't!
So perhaps it's just a time issue? Anyway, you haven't lost me, my friend. I still love ya!
I'm glad you mentioned this on facebook as your post did not show up on my dashboard and wasn't on my reader. I clicked refresh and then it popped up. Sometimes it takes an hour after posting for it to show up in the feed.
Hi Jennifer,
ReplyDelete1st let me know if we're still meeting for breakfast on July 31st and when/what time? Looking forward to it.
2nd thanks for sharing your heart with everyone. I believe blogging is something different for each person. For me it's ministry so I believe GOD sends people when and to what they need to read so I don't focus on # of comments or base peoples lack of visiting/commenting on whether or not they are still my readers or friends. As Mel said above, Life happens and everyone posts as they can. I would add to that that we post when we can and what we are led to post and we visit each other when we can and that's ok. Also remember that often people may read and not leave comments. I have heard from people via Email who regularly read and don't comment because they don't "do blogs".
I shared all of that to say, please be encouraged Sis and do as the Lord leads you and never feel you've lost "true" friendships. People come and go in our lives in seasons and others remain. I celebrate every category.
I look forward to reading more in the coming weeks and I really look forward to getting together month-end.
Love you!
Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteI don't plan on leaving you any time soon. Whether you blog once a day, once a week or even once a month, people follow for different reasons. I gave up trying to please everyone. I remembered why God asked me to blog in the first place, and it was (1) to encourage others, hence my need to stop and comment on the people I follow not just on the ones that comment my posts, and (2) to write whatever God calls me to write whenever He asks me to post it.
I am praying for you Jennifer. You're amazing, don't ever forget that and it will never be about blogging traffic or the number of followers on a certain day or month. Those are simply just numbers!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
Girl, please......
ReplyDeleteAnyone that shares a son named "Brandon", you are connected for life!! :)
I am gonna have to get to know ya'll better-- I may want to come and visit at your little bloggie get-to-gethers that you have! :)
Sweetie, you have nothing to be sorry about. I totally understand. You will never lose my friendship, I love you.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love you my friend or you wouldn't be coming over in a couple weeks! LOL. I know that because of summer, people haven't been regular, as they are taking vacations and stuff. I have been flat busy and am usually rushed to visit a few blogs each day. But I know we are emailing back and forth on things. If people love you those are the ones you won't need to worry about. You won't lose the "key" people that matter.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs to you my friend and see you in a few weeks!
Kim
I am her my friend..not going anywhere.
ReplyDeleteYou are more than just a friend to me, girl you are my sister. Don't worry about the hits or the number of comments. Blog for Jesus and He will bless the ministry you have here. God knows who needs to read your posts and they will find themselves here on the very day they need to hear what you have shared. You have a beautiful testimony and you should never apologize for sharing it. I think summertime is so busy for people, I have noticed my comments are down too ... it happens. I love ya and am very proud of you! -Love Laurie
ReplyDeleteI'm still here! Life happens and I understand that. {{{HUGS}}}
ReplyDeleteGirl! If you only knew how many people you have reached with your stories you would never feel like you have let down anyone....Your blog is always powerful...God is working through you....
