Show and Tell ~ Pets

It's Show and Tell Saturday again! Today, we are showing and telling about our favorite pet(s).

My favorite pets are my precious little Maltese girl, Biscuit, who is 5 years old and our tabby, Tiger who is 10 years.Tiger loves our son, Tyler and sleeps with him every night. He will sit outside his door and cry, paws at the door to get his attention if the door is closed. If that doesn't get his attention...he will grab the cord that runs under his door to his XBox Live and yank on it until Tyler opens the door. Tiger is a very loving and affectionate cat who always tolerates Biscuit.

My precious little girl is Biscuit. We got her in January '04 and wheb she was 8 weeks old, weighing 1 lb. The picture here is her when we first got her with a toilet paper roll which was as big as she was. She is the sweetest little girl that I've ever had.

She is with me 24/7 and is spoiled rotten. She tends to get an attitude if she is left at home alone when I go somewhere that she isn't allowed to go. She started out going into my bathroom and turning the trash can over. She doesn't tear anything up, just strews it all over the floor. I started shutting the bedroom door, then she went into my office and turned that one over. I started putting my office trash can up on the desk and she moved on to Tyler's room. She is also know to get into things left on the end table in the living room. We came home from church one Sunday to find an entire bag of Cheetos dumped in the floor. She didn't eat them, but just wanted us to know that she was upset that she got left at home.

She goes everywhere we go, if at all possible and has only been boarded once. We even bought a camper so we didn't have to find hotels that would allow us to have a pet. She loves to go to the pharmacy and the bank because they keep dog treats for her and she knows it. She jumps in my lap, rest her chin on the edge of the window and patiently waits for her treat.

When I started trying to talk Roger into letting me get a Maltese. He said "I don't want no fluff dog, I want a manly dog". Well, he had "sucker" written all over him because the first thing out of his mouth when he comes home is...where is my baby girl and he's not talking about me.

She knows when it is time to go to bed and if you get up, start toward the bedroom...she grabs her squeaky bone and is ready to go to bed. If we don't go soon enough to suit her...she starts making these funny noises with her mouth open and curling her tongue...we say she is talking to us.

She is just like her momma...she loves to sleep in. She was snoring the other morning when I was getting ready to take Tyler to school that I had to get up to go see what the noise was...it was her snoring. She sleeps in the bed with us...actually, she sleeps between us. Most mornings when you wake up...she is laying with her head on the pillow beside you with the covers pulled up to her shoulders...just like a human.

She thinks she is human. She knows exactly what I am saying to her. When you put her out to potty at night before bed, you have to watch her or she tries to sneak back to the door like she went. I open the door and ask her..."did you go potty?" and she will duck her head (in shame), turn around and walk back to the grass and goes potty. She is so smart.

Can you tell that I love her so much? I do...she is precious!!! Ok...I know, I'm not normal but I do love her and she loves be back :-)

  4. Awww....your pup is so cute!! I have two kitties, but I do love pups, too!! Now that we have moved, I'm trying to talk my son into getting a dog, and he is definitely a no go on this one!! "Two cats are enough", he says!!

We'll see--maybe someday!! And your kitty strangely resembles my Miles--but then again, there are a lot of kitties who look like Miles!!

    Have a wonderful day, Jennifer!

  5. How cute they all are. I love that when you ask her is she went potty she hangs her head and then goes back to do it...like my kids when I ask if they washed their hands. So cute.

  6. Too CUTE!!! I love the name Biscuit for your doggy. We had a Lasa Apso named Muffin when I was a kid! LOL. And he was white too. You can tell you really love your furry friends. That is so great! They can be such companions can't they?
I finally got my post up! It was a late night so it's not that riveting LOL. Makes you want to rush over and read it doesn't it? LOL.
    Big hugs my friend.

  7. Oh too cute! We do tend to spoil our animals! We have two old dogs (both 12) and two cats... 6 years old and 2 years old... they are our babies! We are doing something new this week with them... we are taking the dogs and the cats camping with us this week! In our 25 year old motor home... So pray all works well with the cats...The dogs have been on trips before, but not the cats... fun!! lol

  8. OH how sweet! Isn't it amazing how attached we get to our pets? I have a little girl cat that follows me everwhere in the house. And then we have one cat that we've had almost as long as we've been married. I don't know what we'll do when something finally happens to him.

Take care my friend! Hope you have a blessed Sunday!
