Ok...this is the best that I could do...scanning our CHRISTmas cards, trying to adjust the brightness and color. Our pictures were a little dark this year because the sun was setting quickly. You wouldn't think it would be hard to get 3 people to do the same thing, at the same time and do it right...but, it is an ordeal every year getting our pictures done. Sorry, but for privacy/security via the world wide web...I had to figure out a way to cover up our last name as well. And...yes, I personally addressed over 60 cards tonight and they are going in the mail tomorrow.
Merry CHRISTmas from our house to yours...to all my bloggy friends.

Jenn,
ReplyDeleteits a very nice picture! have a great Wednesday! -love, Laurie
That is a beautiful card! I do understand about 3 people and posing. If you were on facebook, you could see that it took us 21 shots to find ONE for our card. lol
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family!
God bless!

Thank you for your comment,Jenn. It really meant a lot. I didn't know your husband worked part time for the P.D. My husband used to be a Sheriff Deputy before we started dating. He did that for 3 years. Whew and talk about not getting paid enough? He was making like $350-450 every 2 weeks. Yeah. I really didn't understand a lot about Law Enforcement then, but once we begin to date boy did I learn quickly. I gained a new appreciation for what they do. His brother is also a State Trooper here in Alabama. He doesn't work domestics, just wrecks, but it's still as dangerous. With a huge department, things can just be so different and really wear on you. This department is not family friendly at all, which is why so many of them loose their spouses. But we know God has him in this field for a reason, sometimes you just want to say to heck with the reason though.
ReplyDeleteWow, I'll have to read your birth experiences. Everything went as planned with my labor except the c-section,but it wasn't something forced at all. It had to be done. Thankfully, I got over being angry at God for it and He showed me somethings I needed to see. I'm more afraid of being cut on with the c-section than anything. But God knows what is best.
Thank you for your prayers. They are much appreciated. You are a wonderful person and I'm so glad we have become friends. *hugs*
Oh and beautiful picture and card! I should do that with our picture on my blog!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you for the Christmas card! You have a beautiful family. :)

ReplyDeleteWow! What a nice picture. You really did a great job! By the way, I have an award for you. God Bless you and your family!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful picture! It always takes us quite awhile to get a good shot too as we laugh and snicker all the way through it.
ReplyDeleteGood for you to saying no to credit cards. We use ours to build up credit for our vacation (when the youngest graduates) but we pay them off every month.
Great photo!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I'm having such difficulty sitting down to type you an email...part of it is that I'm trying to housebreak my puppy...I seem to be going outside 50 times a day. Can't quite get much of anything done.
Also, you mentioned that you have a Maltese and wouldn't have any other kind of dog. That's how I feel about beagles and how my in-laws feel about bichons. I guess we all so love the breed we have that we are prejudiced toward all others.
I'm thinking that a Maltese is a little dog, like a cotton ball with legs. You know, small, soft, fluffy, and white. And it weighs full-grown about 8 pounds, right? Wow, if full-grown is 8 pounds, I can't imagine how tiny it was at birth.
Anyhow, love the photo. And I really am trying to write.
Blessings,
Patti
