Show and Tell Saturday

Welcome to Show and Tell Saturday with Kim as our host from Homesteaders Heart...our theme this week is your favorite shoes. For is definitely plural.

As much as I love shoes, I have a hard time wearing them. I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis about 8 years ago. It is a very painful foot problem that causes severe pain in the heel and arch of the foot. Actually, it feels like you are walking on broken glass. My orthopedic doctor has tried several treatments and none have been completely effective. I go through "seasons" that I am pretty much pain right now. (A 30 lb. weight loss...I'm sure would help...LOL!) I get the best results and pain relief when I wear my New Balance athletic shoes and sleeping in a boot.

Saying all of that to say...I have 5 pair of favorite shoes...not just one. My summer pair are sandals or flip flops for everyday wear and for church, I love my corked heel Mia shoes. For winter, I love my mules/clogs...they are so comfortable. My feet do not hurt in these shoes for some reason. Plus, I am short and my jeans are always too long so I have to wear a heel in the winter.

My all time favorite one are my every day New Balance athletic shoes...see they are on my feet right now.

I wear a 7 1/2 to 8, but my foot is very narrow. I don't spend a lot of money on shoes...I buy them where ever I find the cutest and most comfortable ones...Shoe Carnaval, Rack Room Shoes and Target. Oh, Kim...I will be checking out the flip flops at Sam's Club this year...thanks for tip.

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

  1. Nice shoes sweetie, thanks for sharing.

  2. I love shoes! I have a thing for shoes. Probably too much my family would tell you :o)

I like your cork heels. Too cute!

  3. I love shoes as I have admitted on my blog, actually more like a shoe addiction :)

This is a great show and tell.

  4. I can't wear heels or I would totally trip, but your shoes are very cute and I love the corked heel shoes...very sassy. This Meme is so cute.

  5. I like open toe sandals. I cannot and will not wear any flip flop or sandle with that thing that goes between your toes. Ok its weird but thats just me! My daughter has a total infatuation with shoes. She loves shoes. The higher the heel the more she loves it. She can't walk in them well...she's only 13 but she loves shoes. She has every color of flip flop that can be purchased from old navy. Me... give me one or two pair of black sandles, 1 white, 1 blue and a good pair of sneakers and I am good to go! Maybe I could borrow those black clog ones? I also wear a 71/2-8!!!

  6. Love the shoes! I have pf too and totally understand the broken glass thing! My solution is just to change shoes often...I go from my Bikenstocks, to my Clarke's, to flip-flops, etc.

Love your Borns...have a pair of Clarke's almost like them...and yes, my feet don't hurt in them!

    This was a fun one!

  7. I like your collection and those athletic shoes are best!!

  8. I LOVE all those shoes. I too am the exact same size as you and with narrow feet, so that means I can come over and borrow your shoes,LOL. Happy Valentines precious one..and I'm using in Better Hands by Natalie Grant to go on my playlist too. What a beautiful song that greeted me here this morning. ((hugs))

  9. OH so cute my friend. I'm seeing a trend with the heels here! LOL. All my shoes are about as flat as they come since I'm 6'0" tall.
Hence the flip flops LOL. When I'm not wearing those I'm wearing my sneakers!
This was fun thanks for playing along.
    Big hugs.

  10. Jenn,

Love the everyday shoes, my friend! Ouch on the foot condition ... I'm going to be praying for you on that.

    Love ya!

  11. Those are cute! You have a nice variety, too. :)

  12. When I must take off my Birkenstocks..I have a trusty pair of New Balance sneaks too ;)
